Now it's my turn!

For those of you who know Kristi, you have followed her blog. Now it's my turn to blog about her. I have known Kristi since high school, maybe even jr. high. When she contacted me back in December to ask me if I would come over during Christmas weekend and take a family picture for her Mom. It had been awhile since they were ALL together and of course, I said yes. A few days after I set this up with Kristi, her sweet mom called me. When I had confirmed with her that I would be more than happy to do these for her, the excitement in her voice made my heart melt. This family oozes love for one another. They are so close yet miles apart. Wow, that kinda sounded like an 80's power ballad. All joking aside, I'm so honored they let me into their lives for 1 hour to give them something to last a lifetime. Thank you Kristi.

God Bless the Broken Road

A few years ago I heard a song and immediately thought of these people. Meet Beth and Jeff, and their beautiful children. I have never seen two people more in love with each other. I have sat and thought about this post for a really long time. They both have been down broken roads. Some that, at times to them, would never end. I have seen this relationship overflow with nothing but love for each other and God. I thank him everyday for bringing these six in my life. Beth first, whom I am honored to call my sister-in-law. She has shown me the true meaning of family and I love her to pieces. Emily second. Whom I've had the chance to get to see grow from a little baby to the beautiful young woman that she has become. Then Little Nathan third. This little guy is quiet but has left a huge footprint on my heart. Then Jeff. WOW! He is an amazing husband and father that has a true passion for his family and God. Then Mitch and Evan. These two have a very special place in my heart. Mitch is my little Abercrombie model and football stud. Evan is my little man with a BIG heart. I'm so grateful to have all of them in my life. All 6 of the Shadey Bunch.
"That God blessed the broken road. That led me straight to you"

Little "C" turns 1

Happy 1st Birthday Miss Cameron! This was the first time that I did a "birthday cake" shoot. We (I'll let you be the judge on who had more fun) had so much fun. From the giant cupcake to the pink polka dot balloons to the tutu. I have had a blast capturing this little princess all year. Where has the year gone?????

Big Brother

I have know Laura since she was probably 6 or 7. She was really good friends with my little sister. After a stretch of time, she contacted me to do her wedding. I did a few sittings for her after that. Then along came Little Hunter. I have photographed him since he was 4 months old. This summer Laura called and asked me to do his 3 year pictures. At that sitting, he informed me that he was going to be a big brother. This fall I got the opportunity to meet that baby sister. He was so gentle with her and loved on her like nobodies business. I was able to capture some of those moments. I'm kinda thinking that Hunter gets the Big Brother of the Year Award.

Time to catch up

WOW! It has been awhile. I have known these two lovebirds since high school. So when Kate called me to do her wedding, of course I had to say YES! I had a blast capturing this day for them. This wedding was full of surprises. From the baseball bat bridge to the choreographed dance at the reception. They kept me on my toes. Thank you Chris and Kate for letting be a big part of your special day.
